Compañía Cervecera de Nicaragua S.A CCN was founded in Managua on March 22, 1926. In that same year, it launched the first nationally manufactured beer, Cerveza Xolotlan, which later took the name, Cerveza Victoria, in honor of the triumph of the allies. of the second world war.

From 1945 to 1975 CCN launched several brands including Nicagallo, jet, los ranchos, El mandarin, 4 ases, stars, Bingo, tops, bohemio, Hatuey, polar, Tiboli, Victoria Navideña, Boer, Nicarao, Nica, pinolera , Extra, suprema jet, suprema, imperial, Carta Blanca suprema, Nica caballo, Nica Toro, Nica pantera, of which Carta blanca, Victoria Navideña and Boer emerged.

CCN in 1977 launched the Toña brand, which was very well accepted by consumers, later reaching a 16% share of the national beer market. In this way, Toña becomes a strong competitor against Cerveza Victoria.
